The Corporate Institute of Horticulture has graduated a total of 376 students

The graduation ceremony, which was held on 31 May 2024, at Mwambiya Gardens in Salima, was the first graduation ceremony of the institution since it opened its doors in 2019.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Guest of Honor who is also TEVETA Regional Manager of the Centre Mr. Joseph Sambaya said, Agri-TEVETA is a budding vocational Trade in Malawi and encouraged then graduates to consider themselves lucky.

“Today the 31st of May 2024, marks a significant milestone in your journey. You have been provided with necessary knowledge and skills in horticulture, utilize them to the very best of yourself for that will also help in the development of our country,” said Sambaya.

The CIH Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director, Mr. Chawanangwa Munthali also gave a speech where he urged the graduands to dream big as they step into the world

The graduation was attended by a number of guest from several institutions including, Senior Chief Kalonga the 16th; CIH Board members, EYA!ATVET Project team, Slima District Council Chairperson and other council members, First Capital Bank Team, team from Renaissance Agriculture; as well as TEVETA officials from the central region.

Vanessa Chauluka, who is one of the graduates, said that she was well prepared for the industry considering the skills and knowledge that she had gained from CIH. I believe that I will contribute to the national development in so many ways.

During the graduation, Renaissance Agriculture awarded two best female students.
